![]() Bogotá – Villavicencio Highway The Bogotá - Villavicencio highway, which is part of the National Road Network, also known as Transverse Route 40, crosses the country from the Pacific Coast port of Buenaventura, passing through the cities of Ibagué, Bogotá and Villavicencio, to Puerto Carreño in the Colombian Eastern Plains. The project area is located on the Eastern Range in the Rio Negro Basin, interconnecting the Andean Region to the Eastern Plains. The corresponding rehabilitation and improvement contracts are located in the sector between K 55 (Téllez Bridge) and K 87 (Pipiral) of the present road. The object
of the works commissioned to Ingetec was the consultancy, technical
advisement and administrative supervision of 33 kilometers of roads.
The works included the revision of the design and supervision during
construction of 25 bridges, with a total length of 2.3 km, six of which
were constructed by the successive cantilever system, with lengths varying
between 150 m and 275 m. Slope stabilization was also undertaken, alternate
roads were constructed to improve the overall alignment, the road bench
stabilized by means of more than 8.0 km of retaining walls, a new pavement
structure was constructed and existing pavements were reinforced. |
