Cerromatoso 500-230 kV
Substation
(expansion)
Conventional outdoor substation with 500 kV and 230
kV switchyards.
Description:
Expansion of the 500 kV substation with a breaker-and-a-half
configuration. Work carried out in the substation included:
- Installation
of four single-phase autotransformers, each rated 120 MVA (three compose
a three-phase bank, a fourth as spare).
- Installation
of 500 kV switchgear for the 500kV/230 kV transformers.
- Installation
of new circuit breakers and disconnecting switches for two existing
500/115 kV, 50 MVA three-phase transformer banks.
Construction of a new 230 kV conventional outdoor switchyard
with main and transfer busbars. The main components of the substation
are:
- Two
bays for incoming lines.
- One
bay for the 500kV/230 kV autotransformer
- One
bay for bus coupler
Services provided:
Engineering supervision during construction.
