Environmental impact study and operational environmental management plan for the Betania - San Bernardino power transmission line.

The following activities were performed:

Inventory of the social and environmental conditions along the power transmission line’s right-of-way.

· General characterization of the vegetation, composition and structure, forest inventory.

Fauna: regional and discrete characterization, field sampling · General characterization of social conditions within the area of influence of the project, revision of secondary data, fieldwork, interviews and direct observation.

Social study of the population affected by the project. Fieldwork. Interviews and direct observation. Application of socioeconomic inquiries.

Development of consultation and compromise workshops with the communities along the power line corridor.

The Operative Environmental Management Plan was prepared, including physical, biotic and social components.
