Transmission Lines and Substations

INGETEC S.A. has ample experience in 115 kV, 230 kV and 500 kV electric power systems.

The company participated in the planning, design and supervision during construction of Colombia’s first grid at 230 kV that included a total 570 km of double-circuit transmission lines as well as four substations.

INGETEC S.A. supervised the construction of the second 500-kV circuit connecting the Central and Atlantic Coast Systems. Additionally, it has designed and supervised construction of major transmission lines at 230 kV interconnecting several regions of Colombia.

For the design of the 230 kV SF6 gas-insulated substations (GIS) at the Guavio Hydroelectric Project, the company applied its previous experience in order to successfully implement state-of-the-art technology.
